The 2022 Korean Music Awards, sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, was held on March 1. BTS, Aespa, Chungha, IU and other K-pop artists picked up awards at the prestigious ceremony. Check out the full list of 2022 Korean Music Awards winners below.

This year, KMA 2022 honored the best of South Korean music across an array of genres, including pop, hip-hop, trap, jazz, rock, and more. The coveted ceremony was broadcast on the Korean Music Awards YouTube channel where more than 4,000 viewers tuned in.

Two-time Grammy-nominated K-pop group BTS scooped the grand prize (Daesang) as KMA 2022 Artist (Musician) of the Year. SM Entertainment’s globally popular group Aespa won the awards ceremony with three major awards. Take a look at the full list below.

Song of the Year (Grand Prix/ Daesang)

Aespa’s, SM Entertainment’s super rookie group Next level won the grand prize for Song of the Year at KMA 2022.

Musician of the Year (DAESANG, grand prize)

BTS won Musician of the Year, Grand Prize (Daesang) at KMA 2022.

Album of the Year (Daesang) – Chez Lang Lee there is a wolf won the grand prize for album of the year.

Rookie of the Year

Crooners ‘Next Level’ and ‘Savage’ Aespa have won the 2022 KMA Rookie of the Year award.

Best Pop Album

“Lilac” (2021) by reigning K-pop queen IU won Best Pop Album at KMA 2022.

Best Pop Song

South Korean music duo AKMU, consisting of Lee Chan-hyuk and Lee Su-hyun, won the Best Pop Song award at KMA 2022 for their song Nakka pi UI.

SM Entertainment’s super rookie group Aespa’s signature track “Next Level” won the Best K-pop Song award at KMA 2022.

K-pop soloist Chungha won the Best K-pop Album award at KMA 2022 for her album “Querencia.”
