But what if you don’t want people to access your profile? Luckily, you can use the app just for yourself without having to worry about someone snooping around your profile.

How to make your Apple Music account private

Here’s how to make your profile private (one of the many benefits that makes an Apple Music subscription worth the cost), so you can choose who can access it:

  1. Open the Apple Music app.
  2. Faucet listen now in the lower left corner of the page.
  3. Select your profile in the upper left corner.
  4. Tap your profile name to view your profile.
  5. Choose To modify.
  6. Below Who can track your activityto select People you approve of.

How to choose which playlists appear on your profile

Organizing your own Apple Music playlists can be fun. But sometimes you may have an unfinished playlist lying around in your collection, or one that you don’t plan on sharing.

Whether your profile is private or public, you can choose which playlists appear on your profile. Playlists that are not selected will only be visible to you. Here’s how to select which playlists appear on your profile:

  1. Open the Apple Music app.
  2. Faucet listen now in the lower left corner of the page.
  3. Open your profile in the upper left corner.
  4. Tap your profile name to view your profile.
  5. To select To modify.
  6. Below Shared playlistsselect the playlists you want to share on your profile.
