New date announced for Grammy Awards, CMT Music Awards reschedule
The 64th Annual Grammy Awards will now take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, April 3. The show moved from its original January 31 date amid growing concerns surrounding the Omicron variant.
Along with the date change of the Grammy Awards, the CMT Music Awards will move from its originally scheduled date of Sunday, April 3 to a later date in April. Information on the date and location of the awards ceremony will be announced in the coming weeks.
“Once we realized the need to move the Grammy Awards to a later date due to current health concerns, we quickly came together with our partners at The Recording Academy and CMT, to strategically reschedule these two incredible music events. and use the full power of the ViacomCBS ecosystem to promote them,” says jack susman, executive vice president, specials, music, live events and alternative programming, CBS. “After an exciting month of college basketball on CBS, we’re excited to continue our programming momentum with these two great live-for-television events this spring.”

The Grammy Awards will air live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena on April 3 (8:00-11:30 p.m., live ET / 5:00-8:30 p.m., live PT) on the CBS Television Network, and will be available to stream live and on demand on Paramount+. Trevor Noah will return as master of ceremonies for the evening.
