The 2022 CMT Music Awards have a new date and location

the CMT Music Awards 2022 are back and will be broadcast live on a new channel and in a new location.
Earlier today (February 1), CMT released a statement to let fans around the world know that country music’s only fully fan-voted awards show has been given a new air date on Monday, April 11, 2022. and will last three hours.
Along with the new date, the show will move from Bridgestone Arena to the historic Nashville Municipal Auditorium, with performances taking place at various locations in and around Music City.
The original April 11 date was postponed to early last month due to The 68th Annual Grammy Awards Taking the CMT Music Awards‘ original date, as there were safety concerns related to increasing cases of Omicron variants around the world.
Fans, artists and CMT officials are happy to see the show postponed. Executive producers Margaret Comeaux, John Hamlin and Leslie Fram released a joint statement expressing their excitement for the event.
“It’s official: our three-hour extravaganza in Nashville will air live on CBS on April 11 for the first time as part of the network’s biggest music month ever,” they shared. “Expect the most unforgettable CMT MUSIC AWARDS yet, filled with world premiere performances and unique collaborations in and around Music City.”
More details regarding the nominees, voting, and performers have yet to be released.
