The Syracuse Area Music Awards honored CNY’s favorite musicians on Friday night (see photos, winners)
The Syracuse Area Music Awards honored some of the area’s favorite musicians during the awards ceremony at the Crouse Hinds Theater on Friday night.
This followed a ceremony on Thursday night, where SAMMYs inducted a new class into its hall of fame and presented the lifetime achievement award to Tom Kenny, best known as the voice of Spongebob Squarepants.
The Friday night event featured performances from four bands: Jon Rogalia & The Swamp Boys, Letizia, The Real Raw Breed, and Tom Kenny & The Hi-Seas.
Between performances, awards were handed out in a handful of categories, including the popular People’s Choice Awards. More than 168,000 ballots were cast online to choose the winners in these categories.
