7 Beauty Looks That Are Turning Heads From Our Favorite Music Videos

Highlighted lips, exaggerated looks and OTT hair, the pop music industry has really upped its game when it comes to setting outlandish beauty trends through music videos over the years. Needless to say, some of these looks were made for certain iconic beauty trends. If you’re looking for a compilation of our favorite looks, you’ve come to the right page. Here’s a tip, as the long weekend approaches (can’t wait!), put one on to make a bold statement.

1. Lady Gaga’s Phone ft. Beyonce

From sharp graphic cat eyeliner to Queen B’s American flag-print nails, Lady Gaga pulled it all off with her Coco-Cola curlers in the Telephone clip. Created by Danilo, Lady Gaga’s hairstylist, this look has become one of the most iconic Halloween looks.

2. 7 rings of Ariana Grande

Ariana Grande’s Princess Leia-inspired space buns became very popular in 2020 right after the release of the 7 rings and have subsequently been seen on countless YouTube tutorials. TBH, who really forgot that look? We all remember Rachel Green wearing the look for a “fun” night out with Ross on popular sitcom FRIENDS!

3. We Are Good by Dua Lipa

The list isn’t complete without our music industry favourite! Dua Lipa’s quirky, spaced-out look of orange eyes paired with nude lipstick in this clip has become an all-time favorite since she dropped the clip.

4. Madonna’s Material Girl

Madonna’s Marilyn Monroe-inspired hairstyle with coral eyeshadow, blushed cheeks, and shimmering eyelids was all glamorous about this music video! We’ve seen him make a comeback (and how) on this year’s red carpet.

5. Baby Again by Britney Spears

The pigtail school trend is anything but childish and Briney Spears proved it with her look in the music video for Baby one more time. With two tight half pigtails on each side, this was definitely one of my favorite Britney Spears beauty looks!

6. Un-Break My Heart by Toni Braxton

Toni Braxton’s brown lip liner paired with glossy lipstick Unbreak My Heart created a frenzy in the beauty industry over a decade ago! As the industry moved towards frosted lips and bold eyeliners, this music video set the stage for lip liners to be the ultimate beauty trend of the 90s.

7. So what by P!nk

Known for her taste in OTT fashion and eccentric beauty looks, P!nk really outdid herself with her bleached blonde hair in the music video for So what released 12 years ago! It is true that no one could have done better than her, but blonde hair became a brave trend in sports at the time.
