Carrie Underwood added to CMT Music Awards, final nominees revealed look like Nashville

Just a week away from showtime, superstar Carrie Underwood has been added to the lineup for the upcoming 2022 CMT Music Awards, and the show’s final nominees have been revealed.
Airing April 11 on CBS and Paramount+, this year’s show will be co-hosted by Kelsea Ballerini and actor Anthony Mackie, and already features a stacked lineup of previously announced superstar performers. But the appearance of Underwood will be a treat.
Performing from the Resorts World Theater in Las Vegas where she REFLECTION: The Las Vegas Residency takes place, Underwood’s CMT Music Awards song will be filled with theatrical thrills — and an even more fantastical wardrobe than usual — giving viewers a taste of his spectacular Vegas production.
Meanwhile, Mickey Guyton and Black Pumas have also been added to the show for a “world’s first collaboration”, and hit-makers Old Dominion will also take the stage. In addition, the finalists for the first prize of the evening, the video of the year, have been revealed.

The 2022 CMT Music Awards will air LIVE from Nashville on Monday, April 11 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS and Paramount+.
