[Today’s K-pop] BTS now has 20 music videos with over 300 million views

BTS’ music video for “War of Hormone” has surpassed 300 million views on YouTube, becoming the group’s 20th music video to reach the milestone.

The song is a track from his debut studio album “Dark & ​​Wild” released in August 2014. The hip-hop tune combines powerful guitar and drum sounds, and the bandmates show dazzling performances in the clip. which uses a fake one-shot method.

On Sunday, the video for “Butter (Hotter Remix)” surpassed 100 million views on the platform, bringing the septet record to 37. BTS has the most videos that have achieved the feat and the music video for “Boy With Luv (feat. Halsey)” has the most views of all, with over 1.5 billion in the past week.

Rocket Punch will release their 1st Japanese single in June

Rocket Punch will release its first single in Japan on June 29, Woollim Entertainment announced on Friday.

The single “Fiore” will consist of two songs: the Japanese version of “Bouncy” and the title track which compares the feelings of a girl who has fallen in love to a blooming flower.

The six-girl group debuted in 2019 and in August last year ranked No. 9 on Oricon’s Daily Albums chart and No. 2 on Oricon’s K-pop Albums chart. ‘iTunes Japan with their first Japanese EP “Bubble Up!”

The group released their fourth EP “Yellow Punch” in February and earlier this month held a two-day fan meet-and-greet event in Seoul, greeting fans for the first time in nearly 2½ years.

T1419 to be returned next month

T1419 will be making a comeback with the Korean version of “Run Up” on May 9, the group announced with a poster on Friday.

The teaser poster only shows the silhouettes of the nine members but indicates that “Run Up” will be remade in Korean. The song was the lead track on the boy group’s debut EP in Japan, “Our Teen: Blue Side,” which was released last month.

The group debuted in January last year with “Before Sunrise Part 1” and the first online showcase drew around 300,000 viewers. Last month, he gifted fans with a digital single “Edelweiss,” a flower that represents purity.

Zico ends his military service

Zico was released from military service on Friday, KOZ Entertainment reported.

The singer and producer began serving mandatory duty in July 2020 as an alternative social worker after four weeks of basic training.

He debuted as a member of seven-member band Block B in 2011 and released a string of hit songs, including the solo single “Any Song” in 2020. His first solo single was “Tough Cookie” released in 2014.

Psy congratulated him on completing the service during the press conference for his ninth full album. The two musicians co-wrote “Celeb” which features Suzy in the music video.
